The Cowboys Giclee

Description

“The Cowboys”  is my latest 48″ x 72″ original oil on canvas, and simply illustrates the morning meeting between the wagon boss, i.e. foreman, and his working cowboy crew.  Here the plan is laid out clearly in which direction the cowboys will ride to gather the herd for the spring branding, and maintenance of the cow herd.  As can be seen from this vintage painting, these cowboys are defnitely “old school”, and characterize the tradition and venue period made so popular by artists such as Charles Russell and Fredrick Remington.
