“90 Head” (24” x 36” original oil on canvas) is a depiction of the remuda of 90 head of horses at the 6666 Ranch, in Guthrie, Texas.  Amidst the dust stirred up by the horses trying to avoid the accurate rope of the skilful roping cowboy, you see in the background the other cowboys patiently waiting for their horse to be roped and brought to them.  You will hear names like “Rodeo Rick” and others called out by each cowboy, to the roping wrangler, to alert him to the horse that they will be riding on this or the next particular day. The beauty of the many colored horses and the sheer multitude of horses make this a significant rendering of “90 Head”…
